latest obsession

I have been collecting screen captures and turning them into texture tiles for backgrounds. Also making squiggles and scrolls.

My fist Jumpring Earrings

I found the pattern for making these in a magazine called Step By Step Wire Jewelry using Japanese weave. I had the tools all I needed was the wire. I found 18 and 20 gauge wire at Michaels. For the silver earrings I couldn't find my silver ear wires; so I took straight pins and cut the point off. Filed smooth the end and made a loop at the head end. I'm gathering tools to try making larger jump rings.

Felt Hats

I made these last week for a class. I will make some for pens, some for place cards, some for hair decoration, and some for gift tags.

One of Last Years Projects

Last year I made a screen of these panels to show some of what can be done with paper. The panels are 12" by 6 and 3/4".
I used skewers and tape to make the hinges.

I did Parent Volunteer Work at one of our Elementary Schools a couple of years ago. The Teacher let me show the Kids how to make cut paper snowflakes. After lunch some of the rest of the teachers wanted me to teach their classes. So I spent the afternoon cutting snowflakes with the kids.

I am teaching an Origami class at one of the local craft stores. We are using "The Joy of Origami" as our reference book.

Iris Heart

I have done Iris folding. So one day I decided to fill a heart with ribbon instead of paper. This is the result.

The AZ Crafter

I have used paper, yarn, felt, polymer clay, fabric, boards, beads, fabric paint, wood burning tools, quilling tool, to assemble what I wanted. I am still trying out new things. My latest is faux stained glass. I have now made a macrame plant hanger and an owl necklace.

I would like to hear from other crafters.
